SALINE COSMETIC TATTOO REMOVAL

This is a non-laser alternative for tattoo removal. A high concentrate of saline (salt to water ratio) is tattooed into the pigmented skin causing the particles to dry out. This results in the pigment scabbing and being released externally (as opposed to internally eg sweat, spit, excrement).

Like any cosmetic tattoo, the Removal service can not be done on anyone that is pregnant or currently breastfeeding.

Please note that I will endeavour to take steps to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible. Please arrive 30 minutes before your booked appt so that you can be numbed accordingly. A medical grade anaesthetic is highly recommended and this can be ordered here:

When ordering please state that it is for REMOVAL as this means that the anaesthetic will be suitably compounded. The pharmacy will send it directly to me at Salon Lane. Make sure you come 30 minutes before your appointment so we can apply to your brow area, I have a comfortable waiting area whilst this takes effect.

Things to Consider

Your brows may be quite sore after. This procedure involves tattooing saline into the pigment resulting a blushing of blood to the surface of the skin. When you leave my studio it is important to know that your brows will be red….for the BEST results, any blood that may be there, needs to stay there. This is part of the process.

The days following your treatment, the area must be aired as the oxygen will create a better healing environment. No swimming, soaking, saunas etc are to be done during the scabby phase. Whilst it is fine to have a shower, avoid saturating the area as we want the scabs to stay as long as possible.

Once ALL the scabbing has fallen off, then feel free to apply a thin layer of Vitamin E to hydrate and help with the healing.

If more than one saline removal is needed please note there is a minimum of 8 weeks between treatments. It can be hard to estimate exact number of treatments needed sometimes before we start the removal journey due to the type of pigment used or the depth in the skin so I ask that you have patience and trust the process. Results can not be guaranteed but I will always do my utmost to achieve the right goal for you.
