Cosmetic Tattoo Considerations

  • Pregnancy & Breastfeeding - I do not tattoo during pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Chemical Peels - it is not advisable to undertake a peel 2-4 weeks leading up to your appt

  • Injectables - make sure your botox, threading or fillers are done at least 2 weeks before or after your tattoo procedure

  • Eczema/Dermatitis - if you suffer from either of these skin conditions or have hyper skin sensitivity it is best to seek medical advice before your tattoo

  • Allergies - if you have any sort of sensitivity to latex, rubber, medications, numbing agents, Phenylalanine (PPE) please advise so I can make alternative arrangements

  • IPL - this should be avoided at least 4 weeks before your treatment and should be avoided on tattooed area completely

  • Facial Surgery - a doctors consent must be given to undertake cosmetic tattoo after recent facial surgery

  • Diabetes - this can cause possible slower healing so best to have a chat before booking

  • Radiation/Chemo - To protect your immune system it is best to seek the advice of your doctor. Permission will need to be sighted.

  • Skincare - Topical Vitamin A, Retin-A, Tretinoin Preparations, Hydroquinone, Skin bleaching agents can increase skin sensitivity and risk scarring if used within 5 days. For any skincare that is encouraging regeneration of skin turnover (like retinol) I recommend to stop using these products about a month leading up to your treatment.

  • Alcohol & coffee - avoid drinking alcohol & coffee 24 hours before treatment

  • Supplements - Fish, primrose, krill oil, Ginseng, Gingko Biloba should be avoided a week before treatment

  • Medications - please advise if you are taking any these medications: Fish, primrose, krill oil, Ginseng, Gingko Biloba

  • Exercise - for 2 weeks after your tattoo treatment you should avoid: chlorinated/salt water pools, high UV exposure, Sun beds, and Infra-red light exposure. Please be advised that cardio exercise, sweating, sauna, hot spa & spray tanning should not be done within 48hours.

  • Covid Vaccination - please do not attend if you have had a Covid-19 vaccination within 2 weeks of your scheduled appointment time. This is due to the typical inflammatory response period expected after receiving the vaccination, which may effect the healed colour outcome of cosmetic tattoos.

Brow Preparation

  • Please avoid drinking alcohol & coffee at least 24 hours before treatment

  • Avoid waxing or tinting within 3 days of treatment. Avoid tinting 4 weeks after treatment

  • Do not use any hair growth serums on the eyebrow area for at least 1 month before

  • Make sure the brow area is well hydrated in the lead up to your treatment. Feel free to exfoliate but not within 3 days of treatment

  • For best results please do not wet your brows for at least 5 days after your treatment. This will ensure best results….wash your hair the day before or take yourself for a blow dry after if necessary

  • Make sure you have protected the brow area from sun exposure in the 2 weeks leading up to your appt

  • Try not to make any major social plans for the day/night of your treatment as area can be a little red & sensitive after treatment. Be prepared for slightly darker results in the first 5-7 days after your treatment which will fade to a more natural finish.

Eyeliner Preparation

  • Please avoid drinking alcohol & coffee at least 24 hours before treatment

  • Do not use any lash growth serums 3 weeks before your treatment

  • Lash extensions should not be worn at the time of your appointment and should be avoided for at least 3 weeks post-treatment

  • Avoid wearing makeup to your appointment

  • Please refrain from wearing contact lenses for this treatment…remember to bring your glasses if needed

  • There may be slight redness and minor swelling of the skin immediately & for a couple of days after your treatment. A cold compress can help. Driving and normal duties should not be impacted.
